A saddle (saddle equestrian) is a supportive structure used to create a fundamental balance between the equestrian rider, or a load and their horse. This is fastened to the equine's back by a girth. Earlier saddle equestrian were merely simple pads attached with a surcingle, but today's ar ealot more advanced and we have some on selection for you today.
It is said that at the beginning of the Christian era, the Sarmations were the first to build a saddle containing an inner wooden tree and it wasn't until nearly 400 years later that people rode using stirrups. In today, saddles are built using an interior tree system as its spine; either made from wood or synthetics.
A saddle equestrian should always be stored using a version of a saddle rack or stand; helping it to retain its shape and helping to prevent damage to it. .Proper saddle equestrian storage is important for keeping the leather of a saddle in good repair and extending the life of the equestrian saddle; whether it’s being stored for short periods of time for a longer period (I.e. over winter or for a few years). It is recommended to clean the equestrian saddle first and to give it a light coat of oil before leaving it on the saddle stand. Regardless of the length of time, it is always advisable to keep your equestrian saddle in a dry place and away from the risks of rodent damage.
It is important to ensure that the saddle actually fits the horse as the major cause of a sore back in a horse is that the saddle doesn't fit properly. When a saddle is being fit, it is important to keep six things in mind; there must be a clearance over the spine, even bearing, the length must be matched to both the horse and the rider, there should be no lumps or solid bits, the saddle should fit as close as possible to the horse and the horses back must be healthy before applying the saddle equestrian. For the clearance along the spine or backbone of the horse it is wise to check the channel of the saddle; meaning it is not actually touching the horse. When keeping an even bearing; the pressure should be equally distributed along the horses back.
